* Start composing a message or reply.
* Follow the Edit as html link.
o You can find this link to the right of the message headers (From, To,…) and the recipient Quick list.
o If you use the advanced composition screen, select HTML from the Text drop-down menu in the same place.
* Write and format your email using the formatting toolbar.

You can even switch editors after you have already typed something. You will not lose any text.
